  • In the 20th anniversary ( 1995-2015 ) of the project of construction of the Euro Mediterranean Space of democracy, respect of human rights, peace and economic growth, the European Union has endorsed the construction of such a Space in the context of the so-called “Arab Springs”. The main challenges for the Euro Mediterranean relations in the next years will be the implementation of policies related to the respect of human rights in the process of transition to democracy in such countries in the framework of conditionality of the new Euro Mediterranean free trade agreements.
