  • Resumen
    • The ius standi of the individual to denounce violations of human rights contained in the ECHR, committed by States, before the ECHR, is the widest. However, this amplitude has reached saturation - due to the large number of lawsuits filed - the work of the ECtHR.

To remedy this situation, several reforms have been introduced such as those contained in Protocol 14 of May 13, 2004 and Protocol nº 15 of May 16, 2013. The reforms are intended to limit the individual's access to ECtHR in order to avoid saturation. But with it, do not it is endangering the ius standi recognized the individual by the ECHR to access the ECHR? This paper will examine the evolution of the conditions required by the ECHR so that the individual can access the ECtHR to denounce violations of human rights committed by States; which of these conditions of access are currently required and which could be demanded in the future.
