As historically produced, a social structure results from the subordination of local social agency to a broader structure. This problem is approached here as a case study, a galician peasant community all along the XIXth century. Local taxonomies distinguished four groups in local society: Ricos, labradores, caseiros and camareiras. Hierarchy was defined by access to peasant rent and local political power. This differential access was not only the origin but fue result of the adoption of different strategies of production and reproduction by domestic groups. And the genesis, evolution and crisis of local social structure in the XIXth century was subordinated to broader political processes: the formation of a national and world economic system, and the political articulation of Europe starting from the notion of Liberal State.

Une structure sociale, c'est produite historicallement par la subordination de la gerentie sociale locale pour une structure globale. La question est ici étudié au sein d'une petite communauté paysanne galicienne, au XIXème siecle. Les taxonomies locales differencie quatre groupes au sein de la société locale: ricos, labradores, caseiros et camareiras. L'accés différentiel aux res sources - la rente paysanne et le pouvoir politique - c'était la clé de la hierarchie sociale. Cet accés différentiel était l'origine, mais aussi I'issue de I'adoption par les groupes domestiques des differentes estratégies productives et reproductives. Et la génese, évolution et crise de I'structure locale au XIXème siecle était subordonnée a des processes historiques globales: la formation d'un systeme économique national et mondial, et l'organisation polirique de I'Europe a partir de la notion de Etat Liberal.
