Efecto de la termoterapia sobre características vegetativas y productivas de dos genotipos de ajo

    Con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto de la termoterapia en características vegetativas y la productividad de dos genotipos de ajo, se desarrolló una investigación en la Finca del productor Rolando Palomino perteneciente a la Cooperativa de Crédito y Servicio (CCS) Ignacio Agramonte, municipio La palma, Pinar del Río; durante el ciclo del cultivo 2019-2020. Se evaluó el efecto de la termoterapia sobre los indicadores (emergencia, altura de la planta y diámetro del cuello), así como se determinaron los rendimientos por tecnología. Los resultados mostraron que existieron diferencias significativas para las variables emergencia y altura de la planta con resultados muy superiores en los genotipos termotratados y más elevados para el genotipo chileno, no así en el diámetro del cuello y número de hojas; estas variables no mostraron diferencias entre los genotipos termotratados y sus testigos. Igualmente resultaron superiores los rendimientos para los ajos tratados con temperatura siguiendo con mejores resultados el genotipo chileno.

    With the objective of evaluating the effect of thermotherapy on vegetative characteristics and the productivity of two genotypes of garlic, an investigation was carried out in the Farm of the producer Rolando Palomino belonging to the Credit and Service Cooperative (CCS) Ignacio Agramonte, municipality of La Palma, Pinewood of the river; during the 2019-2020 crop cycle. The effect of thermotherapy on the indicators (emergence, plant height and neck diameter) was evaluated, as well as the yields by technology. The results showed that there were significant differences for the variables emergence and height of the plant with much higher results in the heat-treated genotypes and higher for the Chilean genotype, but not in the diameter of the neck and number of leaves; these variables did not show differences between the heat-treated genotypes and their controls. Likewise, the yields for garlic treated with temperature were higher, following the Chilean genotype with better results.
