Girl Walks Home Alone at Night es el título de la primera película dirigida por la británica/iraní Ana Lily Amirpour. El film se ambienta en la ciudad ficticia de Bad City, un enclave que mezcla características persas con occidentales y en el que aparece una misteriosa mujer vampiro como irrupción de lo fantástico. El presente artículo realiza un análisis textual del film de cara a estudiar cómo la cineasta subvierte la tradición vampírica al plantear una figura monstruosa de corte existencialista que utiliza sus poderes con una clara connotación política feminista y que subvierte el mito para, lejos de ser seductora, terminar siendo seducida por el hombre.

A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night is the title of the first motion picture directed by British/Iranian Ana Lily Amirpour. The film is set in the fictional town of Bad City, a place that blends Persian and Western features, presenting a mysterious vampire woman as an irruption of the fantastic. This article carries out a textual analysis of the film in order to study how the filmmaker subverts the vampire tradition by posing a monstrous figure of existentialist cut whose powers are used with a clear feminist political connotation. This figure subverts as well the myth so that, far from being seductive, she ends up being seduced by the man.
