Resumen de Basic Education and Remote Learning: challenges or possibilities?

  At the beginning of the year 2020 we were surprised with a new virus, SARS-CoV-2, popularly called COVID-19, being highly contagious and bringing with it a large number of deaths. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organization, social isolation was the alternative for an attempt to contain the virus. In education, social isolation, which culminated in the suspension of classes, brought with it a path not so new, but still little explored, mediated communication and cyberspace and, tied to them, the Emergency Remote Learning (ERE). For Basic Education, the Remote Learning appeared as the solution for the continuity of school activities, but due to a series of factors it was much questioned. Therefore, in this article we seek to present the various aspects of Remote Learning, as well as to discuss the difficulties encountered by teachers and the school community, in an attempt to highlight some of the possibilities it brings. To do so, we developed a qualitative bibliographic research, through which we can observe that the migration to Remote Learning emphasized a series of difficulties in the educational field, exposed weaknesses, but also presented many possibilities that can assist in the learning process.

  No início do ano de 2020 fomos surpreendidos com um novo vírus, o SARS-CoV-2, popularmente chamado de COVID-19, sendo altamente contagioso e trazendo consigo um grande número de mortes. Baseando-se em recomendações da Organização Mundial da Saúde, o isolamento social foi a alternativa para uma tentativa de contenção do vírus. Na educação, o isolamento social, que culminou com a suspensão das aulas, trouxe consigo um caminho não tão novo assim, mas ainda muito pouco explorado, a comunicação mediada e o ciberespaço e, atrelado a eles, o Ensino Remoto Emergencial (ERE). Para a Educação Básica, o Ensino Remoto apareceu como a solução para a continuidade das atividades escolares, mas devido a uma série de fatores foi muito questionado. Sendo assim, neste artigo buscamos apresentar as diversas faces do Ensino Remoto, bem como fazer uma discussão das dificuldades encontradas por professores e comunidade escolar, buscando destacar algumas possibilidades trazidas por ele. Para tanto, desenvolvemos uma pesquisa qualitativa de cunho bibliográfico, através da qual podemos observar que a migração para o Ensino Remoto enfatizou uma série de dificuldades no âmbito educacional, expôs fragilidades, mas também apresentou muitas possibilidades que podem auxiliar no processo de aprendizagem.
