The paper presents a recent foraminiferal fauna making up from 86 species, collected from the area of coraliferous island Mbudya (east coast of Tanzania). The material is coming from a sandy bottom at 25 m of depth. The foraminiferal association, typical from the warm waters, is dominated by porcelaneous ones which make the fundamental mass of the population. To these ones can be addess, with moderate frequency, from the agglutinated, Textularia, and from calcareous: Operculina, Planorbulinella, Planorbulina, Elphidium, Ammonia, Tretomphalus; with a symbolical frequency there are: Lagena, Guttulina, Sigmavirgulina, Fissurina, Bolivina, Bulimina, Pavonina, Chrysalidinella, Reussella, Cancris, Siphoninoides, Spirillina, Pararotalia, Eponides, Rosalina, Cibicides, Nonion.
