Resumen de A consciência da literatura: de Candido e Schwarz ao contemporâneo

How can contemporary Brazilian literature be analyzed based on the concepts of awareness of underdevelopment and awareness of culture discussed in Candido and Schwarz? In view of this issue, this review establishes a dialogue between the important reflections of these authors in texts from the end of the last century and the most recent contemporary literature, dating from the decade of 2010. In this way, this brief exposition intends to scrutinize, necessarily, beyond from the theorists' concerns, the general presentation of contemporary literature and its characterization of authorship, theme and style, sometimes in contrast with what scholars claim. The basis of this text, then, is the resumption of the understanding of these theorists in the essays Literature and underdevelopment (1986) and End of century (1999), respectively by Antônio Candido and Roberto Schwarz.

Como a literatura contemporânea brasileira pode ser analisada partindo dos conceitos da tomada de consciência do subdesenvolvimento e tomada de consciência de cultura discutidas em Candido e em Schwarz? Em vista dessa questão, essa resenha estabelece um diálogo entre as importantes reflexões desses autores em textos do fim do século passado e a literatura contemporânea mais recente, datada a partir do decênio de 2010. Desse modo, essa breve exposição intenta perscrutar, necessariamente, além das inquietações dos teóricos, a apresentação geral da literatura contemporânea e sua caracterização de autoria, tema e estilo, por vezes em um contraponto com o que afirmam os estudiosos. A base desse texto, então, é a retomada do entendimento desses teóricos nos ensaios Literatura e subdesenvolvimento (1986) e Fim de século (1999), respectivamente de Antônio Candido e Roberto Schwarz.
