Resumen de La madre infanticida en las literaturas castellana, catalana, gallega y vasca

El presente artículo aborda el análisis de cuatro textos literarios que pertenecen a la literatura castellana, catalana, gallega y vasca y tratan el tema del infanticidio, a partir de una reflexión sobre la figura de Medea. En particular se analizarán Intimidad, una de las escenas de la obra teatral Terror y miseria en el primer franquismo de José Sanchis Sinisterra, el monólogo La infanticida de Víctor Català, el poema Medea en Corinto de Luz Pozo Garza y la novela Las madres no de Katixa Agirre. El estudio se centra en la comparación entre las distintas razones que llevan al infanticidio, con particular atención a la figura de las madres en relación con la sociedad que las rodea.

The present article analyses four literary texts which belong to Castilian, Catalan, Galician, and Basque literature and deal with the topic of infanticide, starting from a consideration of the figure of Medea. In particular, we will analyse Intimidad, one of the scenes of the play Terror y miseria en el primer franquismo by José Sanchis Sinisterra, the monologue La infanticida by Víctor Català, the poem Medea en Corinto by Luz Pozo Garza and the novel Las madres no by Katixa Agirre. The study revolves around the comparison of the different reasons which can lead to infanticides, particularly focusing on the figures of the mothers related to the society in which they live in.
