    The essay first identified the image of women in the production of the internationally renowned contemporary Aragonese artist Eva Armisén, always attentive and sensitive to gender issues. Subsequently, the investigation turned towards analysing the relationship between image and word in some of her specific works. These studies were preparatory to the identification of the “verbo-visuale” woman in certain paintings. The results of this research provided a precise indication: that is, that in painting, the contemporary woman, in the thousand facets of her personality, but also in her femininity, can be effectively represented not only by her image but also by her words, used by the artist in synergic connection with each other.

    Il saggio ha, in primo luogo, identificato l’immagine della donna nella produzione della poliedrica artista aragonese contemporanea di risonanza internazionale Eva Armisén, sempre attenta e sensibile alle questioni di genere. Successivamente l’indagine si è orientata verso l’analisi della relazione tra immagine e parola in alcune sue opere specifiche. Tali studi sono stati propedeutici per l’individuazione in taluni dipinti della donna verbo-visuale. Le risultanze di tale ricerca hanno fornito un’indicazione precisa: quella cioè che, in pittura, la donna contemporanea, nelle mille sfaccettature della sua personalità, ma anche nella sua femminilità, può essere efficacemente rappresentate non più soltanto dalla sua immagine ma anche dalle sue parole, adoperate dall’artista in sinergica connessione tra loro.
