Resumen de Alfons el Magnànim i la conquesta de Nàpols segons la Crònica universal de 1427

La Crònica universal de 1427 va ser escrita en català a mitjans del segle XV, amb la intenció de recollir en un volum bona part del saber històric universal, això és, des de la creació del món fins als temps més propers a l’època del seu autor. No se n’ha conservat la identitat, però aquest devia ser valencià, si tenim en compte les característiques lingüístiques del text i, també, l’atenció de l’autor en esdeveniments ocorreguts a la ciutat i al regne de València, sobretot als capítols finals de la crònica. En aquest treball emmarquem la Crònica universal de 1427 en el seu context, en descrivim succintament el contingut, i ens centrem en aquells capítols de la darrera secció en què les campanyes bèl·liques d’Alfons el Magnànim per a la conquesta de Nàpols esdevenen el centre neuràlgic del text.

The Crònica universal de 1427 was written in Catalan in the middle of the 15th century, with the intention of collecting great part of the universal historical knowledge in a volume: from world's creation until the times closest to the time of its author. Its identity has not been preserved, but it is considered that it must have been Valencian, if we take into account the linguistic characteristics of the text, and also the author's attention to events that occurred in the city and in the kingdom of Valencia, especially in the final chapters of the chronicle. In this paper we frame the Crònica universal de 1427 in its context, succinctly describe the content and focus on those chapters of the last section in which the war campaigns of Alfons 'el Magnànim' for the Naples conquest become the nerve center of the text.
