• Resumen

  • Carbonate lenses of the Las Caleras Bajas Limestone crop out in the Guadiato Valley, northwest of Córdoba. The numerous facies suggest reworking of a reefoid barrier, back-reef shoals and restricted lagoons. Foraminifers are abundant and indicate a Late Viséan age. Algae are diverse and belong to the warm-water Tethyan Realm.
