Resumen de PREÇO NO ATACADO E ÁREA PARA PRODUÇÃO: O CASO DO TOMATE DE MESA NO ESTADO DE GOIÁS / Wholesale price and production area: the case of table tomatoes in the state of Goias

  Esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el precio mayorista del tomate de mesa y su influencia en la asignación de tierras destinadas para su cultivo en el estado de Goiás, como lo recomienda la Ley de Abastecimiento, además de presentar aspectos generales sobre la cadena de producción. de tomates de mesa. Se realizó una investigación a través de un levantamiento bibliográfico sobre la superficie destinada al cultivo de tomate y sobre el precio mayorista, abarcando el período de 2008 a 2017. A través de la construcción de una regresión lineal entre las variables analizadas, se percibió que la asignación de tierras tiene, en el corto plazo, una relación negativa significativa con la variable precio mayorista, no identificándose relación con la Ley de Oferta. Por lo tanto, la conclusión del estudio es que el recurso tierra se asigna de acuerdo a las racionalidades de otros factores, como el modelo de expectativas racionales, costos de transacción, factores de riesgo, entre otros.

  Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar o preço do tomate de mesa praticado no atacado e qual sua influência na alocação da terra destinada para o seu cultivo no estado de Goiás, conforme preconiza a Lei de Oferta, bem como apresenta aspectos gerais sobre a cadeia produtiva do tomate de mesa. Realizou-se uma pesquisa qualiquantitativa, por meio de levantamento bibliográfico, sobre a área destinada à tomaticultura e sobre o preço praticado no atacado, compreendendo o período de 2008 a 2017. Por meio da construção de uma regressão linear entre as variáveis analisadas, percebeu-se que a alocação da terra tem, no curto prazo, uma relação negativa com a variável preço no atacado, não identificando relação com a Lei da Oferta. Portanto, a conclusão do estudo é de que o recurso terra é alocado segundo racionalidades de outros fatores, tais como o modelo de expectativas racionais, custos de transação e riscos dos fatores, dentre outros.

  Abstract: This research aims to present general aspects about the productive chain of fresh tomatoes in the state of Goiás. More specifically, the goal is to analyse the price of this product in the wholesale market, as well as its influence on the allocation of land for cultivation in the state of Goiás, as it is stated by the Law of Supply. A bibliographical survey was made focusing on the land used for tomato growing and on wholesale prices of the product, in the period from 2008 to 2017. Through a linear regression between the variables analysed, it was noted that the allocation of land has, in the short term, a significant negative relationship with the variable wholesale price, not identifying any relationship with the Law of Supply. Thus, the study’s conclusion is that the land resource is allocated according to rationales of other factors, such as the rational expectations model, transaction costs, risk factors, among others.
