Resumen de The Ostracod Genus Leptocythere from the Pliocene Deposits of St.Erth and North-West France

• Thirty species of the genus Leptocythere from the Pliocene deposits of St. Erth (Cornwall) and Brittany are described and of these, eight: L. cornubiensis, L. elegantula, L. maxima, L. paralagunae, L. platyformis, L. pliocenica, L. sainterthensis and L. whittakeri, are new.

  The authors review and attempt to clarify the confused situation relating to the age of the deposits and also the assignation of the deposits of Le Bosq d'Aubigny to the Redonian. The palaeogeography and palaeoecology of the areas and faunas studied is discussed.
