    Desde una nueva atención a la lengua y a otras facetas que no son, quizás, las más abordadas del trabajo de Octavio Paz; este ensayo tiene como objetivo abordar la relación que el poeta mexicano pudo establecer con los poemas kāvya. De esta manera, partimos de la idea fundamental de que el hecho literario es siempre diverso y en expansión, rompiendo con el estatismo que determinadas concepciones nacionalistas y estáticas quieren aportarle Nunca se fundamenta, así, solo en un tipo de estilo o cultura, sino que se nutre continuamente de varias, en continuo aprendizaje y crecimiento. Se tratará por tanto de ver —desde el análisis de textos concretos en este intercambio lingüístico, a través de ñla técnica de la close reading— cómo influye en el escritor mexicano esta poesía que, pese a que pueda parecernos lejana, contribuye al desarrollo del estilo de Octavio Paz tal y como ahora lo conocemos.

    From a new attention to language and other facets that are not,perhaps, the most addressed of Octavio Paz's work; this essay aimsto address the relationship that the Mexican poet could establishwith the kāvya poems. In this way, we start from the fundamentalidea that the literary fact is always diverse and expanding, breakingwith the statism that certain nationalist and static conceptionswant to bring to it It is never based, thus, only on one type ofstyle or culture, but is continually nourished by several, in continuouslearning and growth. We will therefore try to see — fromthe analysis of concrete texts in this linguistic exchange, throughthe technique of close reading — how this poetry influences theMexican writer, which, although it may seem distant, contributesto the development of Octavio Paz's style as we now know it.
