¿Cómo evolucionan las noticias sobre la población extranjera en la prensa española regional en relación con las Notas de Prensa que emite el Instituto Nacional de Estadística?

    Nos interesa indagar sobre cómo evolucionan las noticias periodísticas sobre migraciones; y en concreto, las relativas a las oscilaciones de población extranjera; en prensa española, en lo que refiere a la cobertura regional. Para ello, consideraremos el período de tiempo comprendido entre el año 2002 y 2019ii, inclusive. Así, partiremos de las Notas de Prensa que elabora y emite el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y que tienen que ver con los datos demográficos en relación con el Padrón Municipal de Habitantes respecto a la población nacional y extranjera. Analizaremos ocho medios de grupos mediáticos distintos, tanto en su versión impresa como digital; además de ser representativos por tener mayor tirada; para así conocer qué noticias se publican en cada uno de ellos, cuándo y dónde. Asimismo, indagaremos sobre qué espacios ocupan las noticias sobre la población extranjera y quién escribe sobre ello. Desde un enfoque, sobre todo, cuantitativo, analizaremos cómo se representa la población extranjera y cómo esta se muestra en los periódicos de referencia; en sus titulares, subtítulos y entradillas. Nos preguntaremos cómo ha evolucionado la noticia en cuanto a la población extranjera y cuestionaremos si ha cambiado en función del volumen de dicha población o si, sin embargo, incide la tendencia política de la agenda pública

    We are interested in investigating the evolution of journalistic news on migrations, and specifically, those related to the oscillations of foreign population, in the Spanish press, referring to regional coverage. For this purpose, we will consider the period of time from 2002 to 2019, inclusive. Thus, we will start from the Press Releases prepared and issued by the National Institute of Statistics and that have to do with demographic data in relation to the Municipal Register of Inhabitants of a demographic nature with respect to the national and foreign population. We will analyze eight media of different media groups, both in print and digital versions; in addition to being representative for having the largest circulation; in order to know what news is published in each of them, when and where. Likewise, we will investigate what spaces are occupied by news about the foreign population and who writes about it. From a quantitative approach, we will analyze how the foreign population is represented and how it is represented in the newspapers of reference; in their headlines, subtitles and headings. We will ask ourselves how the news has evolved in terms of the foreign population and we will question whether it has changed according to the volume of the foreign population or whether it is influenced by the political trend of the public agenda
