    A inicios de la década del cuarenta es evidente para la prensa local de Villa Constitución que el “progreso” de la localidad no puede vincularse ya más al pasado agroexportador, sino que el destino del pueblo son las industrias, ciertamente la paradoja es que a esas fechas no hay todavía siquiera indicios de la instalación de las grandes industrias que se asentaran en los años inmediatos.

    At the beginning of the forties it is evident for the local press of Villa Constitución that the "progress" of the town can no longer be linked to the agro-export past, but that the destiny of the town is the industries, certainly the paradox is that to those dates there are still no signs of the installation of the large industries that will settle in the immediate years.
