    El objetivo del artículo es dotar a los interesados en la Metodología de la Investigación de un material de consulta, que posibilite la opción de emplear otros instrumentos alternativos a la hipótesis. En la elaboración del texto se usaron la observación, el análisis bibliográfico o documental, el análisis y la síntesis y la fenomenológía. El estudio se realizó en la Universidad de Las Tunas, Cuba, mediante una investigación que mostró la tendencia a utilizar la hipótesis como instrumento. En la indagación se demostró que los demás instrumentos son alternativos a la hipótesis.

    The objective of the article is to provide those interested in the Research Methodology with a reference material, which allows the option of using other alternative instruments to the hypothesis. Observation, bibliographic or documentary analysis, analysis - synthesis, and phenomenology were used in the preparation of the text. The study was carried out at the University of Las Tunas, Cuba, through a three year investigation, which showed the tendency to use the hypothesis as an instrument. The investigation showed that the other instruments are alternatives to the hypothesis.
