A new guide fossil «Bulava indica» is described. This fossil is characterized by an unilocular calcareous perforate spherical test with a large, wide neck which is often enlarged at the apertural end. The chamber is covered in its aboral half by irregularly scattered knobs. A triradial slit-like pore is observed at the end of some of these knobs. From the Middle and Upper Miocene strata of the Indian Ocean.
