Resumen de Actualización sobre el manejo de la fístula enterocutánea y fístula enteroatmosférica

  La fístulas enterocutáneas, y más aún, la temida fístula enteroatmosférica, son patologías que presentan una enorme complejidad y que requieren de un tratamiento individualizado y multidisciplinar. Su tratamiento integral debe tener en cuenta el balance hidroelectrolítico del paciente, su balance nutricional, el tratamiento de infecciones asociadas, así como el control local del vertido intestinal. En el caso de la fístula enteroatmosférica, el control local de la herida es un reto para el cirujano y requiere del conocimiento de varios dispositivos para aplicar en cada paciente en función de sus necesidades. Cuando el tratamiento conservador no resuelve la fístula, tendremos que optar por un tratamiento quirúrgico que debe realizarse en el momento en el que el enfermo presente las condiciones idóneas para el mismo.

  The enterocutaneous fistulas, and even more, the enteroatmospheric fistula, are pathologies that present a great complexity and that require an individualized and multidisciplinary treatment. Its integral treatment must include the patient's hydroelectrolytic balance, their nutritional balance, the treatment of associated infections, as well as the local control of the intestinal discharge. In the case of enteroatmospheric fistula, local control of the wound is a challenge for the surgeon and requires knowledge of several devices to be applied to each patient according to their needs. When the conservative treatment does not resolve the fistula, we will have to opt for a surgical treatment that must be performed at the moment in with the patient presents the ideal conditions for it.
