A interação de aspectos algorítmicos, intuitivos e formais na resolução de questões sobre áreas e perímetros

    In this paper we present an analysis of resolutions concerning two questions about the calculation of perimeter and area performed by students of the 1st year of High School. The objective was to identify and analyze the difficulties and gaps that participants have about the concepts and operations involving area and perimeter. The two questions were applied to 78 students using the online meeting platform (Google Meet) at the beginning of the school year in 2021, the students solved the questions individually and without consultation. Then, we performed an error analysis of the resolutions developed by the participants in the light of the interaction of formal, algorithmic and intuitive aspects. In general, the results indicated that a great part of the participants have difficulties when it comes to conceptualize and operate area and perimeter that not interrelate with formal, algorithmic and intuitive aspects in their resolutions.

    Neste artigo apresentamos uma análise de resoluções referente a duas questões sobre o cálculo de perímetro e de área, realizadas por estudantes do 1º ano do Ensino Médio. O objetivo foi identificar e analisar as dificuldades e defasagens que os participantes desta pesquisa apresentavam acerca dos conceitos e operações envolvendo área e perímetro. As duas questões foram aplicadas de forma remota, pela plataforma Google Meet, para 78 estudantes, no início do ano letivo de 2021, que as resolveram individualmente e sem consulta. Em seguida, realizamos uma análise de erros das resoluções desenvolvidas pelos participantes, à luz da interação de aspectos formais, algorítmicos e intuitivos. De maneira geral, os resultados indicaram dificuldades conceituais e operatórias sobre área e perímetro para boa parte dos participantes, que não inter-relacionaram aspectos formais, algorítmicos e intuitivos em suas resoluções.
