    Entre los textos publicados por Derrida, Glas ha sido tal vez el más rechazado de todos. Su extraña arquitectura así como las dificultades que supone su traducción, ha hecho de él un trozo de escritura indigerible tanto para hegelianos como para derrideanos. Lejos de querer hacer de él un objeto legible, el presente artículo tiene por horizonte hacerlo trabajar performativamente en función de la delimitación de un campo de investigación en torno a la relación entre materialidad, política y razón. Organizándose a partir de la noción de resto [reste], el texto propone entonces introducir una lectura y una re-escritura filosófico-política de la herencia hegeliana, asumiéndola Derrida como un legado monstruoso que, en el contexto incierto de unas luces por venir, ha de impedir la clausura de la materia en una síntesis ideal.

    Of all the texts published by Derrida, possibly Glas has been the most rejected. Its strange architecture and difficult translation have made of it an indigestible piece of writing, both to Hegel and Derrida readers. Far from aspiring to turn Glas into a readable object, this essay aims to make the text work performatively in order to delimitate a research field on Materiality. In this line, the issues discussed only represent a first step or approach to a task that is just beginning. Therefore, in this paper we just make the rest resound as background or material a priori which prevents the closure of matter into an ideal synthesis.
