  Este trabalho tem por objetivo realizar uma reflexão acerca de algumas características presentes nas querelas entre párocos e fiéis da vila de Paranaguá no século XVIII. Nesse sentido, este estudo conforma uma análise do cotidiano das relações entre fiéis e clero na medida em que observa, entre outros aspectos, se os mecanismos reguladores da ação clerical não configuravam estratégia da Igreja em disponibilizar aos fiéis instrumentos que os habilitassem a demandar dos sacerdotes condutas adequadas com sua função social.

  This work aims at proposing a reflexion on some characteristics that are present in the disputes between parish priests and churchgoers from the village of Paranaguá in the XVIII century. In this sense, this study performs an analysis of the everyday relations between the community and the clergy to the extent in which it observes, among other aspects, if the mechanisms that regulated clerical actions did not make up a strategy of the Church to make some instruments available to its members giving them the ability to demand adequate behaviour from the priests.
