    El objetivo de la investigación es establecer cómo se encuentran incorporados los contenidos sobre el Territorio Chileno Antártico en las Bases Curriculares y Programas de Estudio del Plan General de Historia, Geografía y Ciencias Sociales. El enfoque metodológico es el cualitativo y se utilizó el Análisis de Contenido Cualitativo como técnica para recopilar y categorizar las unidades de análisis. Los materiales utilizados, fueron las Bases Curriculares de 1° a 6° Año Básico y de 7° Año Básico a 2° Año Medio y los Programas de Estudio del Plan General de Historia, Geografía y Ciencias Sociales. Los resultados establecen que existen contenidos explícitos e implícitos sobre el Territorio Chileno Antártico que se desprenden de los Objetivos de Aprendizaje y de los indicadores de evaluación y actividades sugeridas de los documentos curriculares, situación que coloca en duda las conclusiones realizadas por otras investigaciones sobre el mismo tema

    The objective of the research is to establish how the contents on the Chilean Antarctic Territory are incorporated in the Curricular Bases and Study Programs of the General Plan of History, Geography and Social Sciences. The methodological approach is qualitative and Qualitative Content Analysis was used as a technique to collect and categorize the units of analysis. The materials used were the Curricular Bases from 1st to 6th Basic Year and from 7th Basic Year to 2nd Middle Year and the Study Programs of the General Plan of History, Geography and Social Sciences. The results establish that there are explicit and implicit contents about the Chilean Antarctic Territory that are derived from the Learning Objectives and from the evaluation indicators and suggested activities of the curricular documents, a situation that casts doubt on the conclusions made by other research on it theme
