Resumen de Confabulación y violencia de género: la fantasía como arma política en Los recuerdos del porvenir de Elena Garro

Este trabajo busca revalorar el poder de la fantasía creadora capaz de trasgredir tiempo y materia. En Los recuerdos del porvenir Elena Garro rescata esta misma fabulación y la presenta como único recurso a mano para transgredir la violencia mexicana, evitar el feminicidio o desmantelar la injusticia institucionalizada. Se hace evidente también cómo se presentan en la novela los diferentes niveles de violencia de género y cómo tres de los personajes toman la responsabilidad de actuar ante la injusticia cambiando la historia a través de la fantasía y la confabulación. Ellos contestan y subvierten el mundo real y la voz de la autoridad política. Su fantasía es productora de hechos concretos, transgresora de realidades, una fuerza que irrumpe dentro del mundo físico produciendo cambios.

This article seeks to reassess the power of creative fantasy when it is capable of transgressing time. In Recollections of Things to Come, Elena Garro rescues fantasy and presents it as the only resource at hand to transgress Mexican violence, by avoiding femicide or dismantling institutionalized injustice. This article also explores the different levels of gender violence that are present in the novel, as well as shows how three of the characters take responsibility for acting in the face of injustice by changing the story through fantasy. These characters contest and subvert both the real world and political authority. Their fantasy is the producer of concrete facts, the transgressor of realities, and a force that bursts in on the physical world producing changes.
