Resumen de O discurso verbal do professor em um ambiente natural de ensino de instrumento musical

  This paper describes an ongoing research which its main goal is to propose a systematization of the teacher verbal communication in a real environment of musical instrument teaching, more precisely in a guitar master class context. The adopted methodology considers a collection of master classes maintained by the coordinator of this research and involves transcriptions, categorizations, and analyses of predetermined scientific variables (e.g. musical topic presented by the teacher, student's gender and performance level, etc.) in a multivariate qualitative-quantitative study. Therefore, as this research is currently on the stage of data analysis, statistical techniques (e.g. ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test and Chi-square test) are being used as well as analysis software such as SPSS and NVivo. Initial results indicate that some variables (e.g. student performance level) may have some effect on the teacher's verbal communication.

  Este artigo descreve uma pesquisa em andamento cujo principal objetivo é propor uma sistematização do discurso verbal do professor de instrumento musical em um ambiente natural de master class de violão. A metodologia adotada considera um acervo de master classes mantido pelo coordenador desta pesquisa e envolve transcrições, categorizações e análises de variáveis científicas predeterminadas (e.g. conteúdo musical trabalhado pelo professor, gênero e nível de performance do estudante, etc.) em uma abordagem nos moldes de um estudo multicasos de caráter quali-quantitativo. Por esse motivo, técnicas estatísticas (e.g. ANOVA, teste U de Mann-Whitney e teste Qui-quadrado) e softwares de análise tais como SPSS e NVivo estão sendo empregados, uma vez que o trabalho encontra-se na fase de análise dos dados. Resultados iniciais indicam que algumas variáveis (e.g. nível de performance do estudante) podem ter algum efeito no discurso verbal do professor.
