The portrait of the Andalusian woman that Francisco Delicado paints with subtle brush-strokes of animals is framed in the context of the decadent and ruffianly society of Renaissance Rome. In this sketch of the bawdy go-between her physical and psychological traits, her idiolect, her sewing, magic, medical and even cosmetic skills are tinged with the images of different beasts, which creates a colorful representation of the instinctual world of sex by means of which the young Cordobesa makes a living.
