Distribución del alcaudón real (Lanius meridionalis) en la ZEPA Alto Guadiato

    Se han recorrido todas las cuadrículas (18) de 5x5 km que ocupa la ZEPA Alto Guadiato siguiendo la metodología del programa SACRE de SEO/BirdLife, anotando todas las observaciones de alcaudón real. Se ha registrado la especie en 15 de las 18 cuadrículas, con un total de 21 contactos, la mayoría de los cuales se localizan en un radio de 8 kilómetros alrededor del núcleo urbano de Los Blázquez.

    Se apuntan cuáles son las necesidades de información básicas para una correcta gestión del alcaudón real, considerado “en peligro” en el Libro Rojo de las Aves de España, y al mismo tiempo para una mejor administración del espacio natural protegido que tenga en cuenta sus principales amenazas, algunas de ellas ligadas a la gestión agraria.

    All the 5x5 km grids that the Alto Guadiato SPA occupies have been covered following the methodology of the SEO/BirdLife SACRE program, recording all observations of the Southern Gray Shrike. In this way, a frst approximation to the knowledge of its distribution has been made, being found in 15 of the 18 squares, in a total of 21 contacts, most of which are located within a radius of 8 kilometers around the urban center of Los Blazquez.

    The basic information needs are noted for proper management of the Southern Gray Shrike, considered “endangered” in the Red Book of Birds in Spain, and at the same time for a better administration of the protected natural space that takes into account its main threats, some of them linked to agricultural management.
