“Uma curva numa reta”: as representações sociais de violências de educadores no complexo do salgueiro em São Gonçalo - RJ

    The present work proposes a discussion about the intercurrence of the social representations of violence of educators in the practices offered by them in a social project in the Salgueiro Complex, in São Gonçalo-RJ. This investigated institution, present in a context considered marginalized, offers educational and social assistance workshops for a public of children and adolescents from Salgueiro. Thus, the main objectives of this work were: to investigate the social representations of violence shared by social educators and to understand how these representations influence the socio-educational practices offered by these educators. Since this research is qualitative (in a psychosocial approach), the following methodological tools were used: semi-structured interviews with educators, subsequently undergoing a rhetorical-philosophical analysis, based mainly on Aristotle, Olivier Reboul, Tarso Mazzotti andArthur Ferreira; and the writing of diaries on socio-educational practices from field observation inspired by Edmund Husserl's phenomenology.Johan Galtung and Byung-Chul Han were the main theoretical references on violence. In the field of Social Pedagogy, Geraldo Caliman and Xesús Jares were used. As for the main results found, we point out the existence of social representations of violence among social educators that are organized from the figurative nucleus of "deviations" to explain the violent manifestations in that context. Thus, the representations are manifested in the justification of the group of social educators for the construction of coexistence with the students considered "deviant" because of the violence in which they are immersed. These representations, associated with the religious discourse of the group, make the educators visualize mostly the violence of direct manifestation (that is, the frontal aggressions to a person or group). This diminishes the focus on violence considered structural or cultural, important for debates, both among educators and for the organization of educational practices that assist in emancipatory processes in that space of social vulnerability.

    O presente trabalho propõe uma discussão acerca da intercorrência das representações sociais de violências de educadores nas práticas ofertadas por esses em um projeto social no Complexo do Salgueiro, em São Gonçalo-RJ. Essa instituição investigada, presente num contexto considerado de marginalidade, oferece oficinas de caráter educacional e assistência social para um público de crianças e adolescentes do Salgueiro. Assim, se teve como principais objetivos neste trabalho: investigar as representações sociais de violências partilhadas pelos educadores sociais e entender como essas representações influenciam nas práticas socioeducativas ofertadas por esses educadores. Sendo esta pesquisa de caráter qualitativo (numa abordagem psicossocial), utilizou-se como ferramentas metodológicas: a realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com os educadores, passando posteriormente por uma análise retórico-filosófica, baseada, sobretudo, em Aristóteles, Olivier Reboul, Tarso Mazzotti e Arthur Ferreira; e a escrita de diários sobre as práticas socioeducativas desde a observação de campo inspiradas na fenomenologia de Edmund Husserl. Como principais referenciais teóricos sobre violência, utilizou-se Johan Galtung e Byung-Chul Han. No campo da Pedagogia Social, utilizaram-se Geraldo Caliman e Xesús Jares. Quanto aos principais resultados encontrados, apontamos a existência de representações sociais de violência entre os educadores sociais que se organizam a partir do núcleo figurativo de “desvios” para explicar as manifestações violentas naquele contexto. Assim, as representações se manifestam na justificativa do grupo de educadores sociais para a construção da convivência com os educandos considerados "desviados" por causa da violência em que se encontram imersos. Essas representações, associadas ao discurso religioso do grupo, fazem com que os educadores visualizem majoritariamente as violências de manifestação direta (ou seja, as agressões frontais a uma pessoa ou grupo). Isso diminui o foco sobre as violências tidas como estruturais ou culturais, importantes para debates, tanto entre os educadores, quanto para a organização de práticas educativas que auxiliem nos processos emancipatórios naquele espaço de vulnerabilização social.
