    Introducción: El virus de papiloma humano (VPH) es una de las infecciones más comunes del tracto reproductivo, responsable de una variedad de canceres y otras afecciones tanto en hombres como en mujeres, es considerada una enfermedad de trasmisión sexual convirtiéndose así en un problema de salud pública, como alternativa los gobiernos han implementado la vacuna del VPH al esquema nacional. Objetivo: Conocer el rol del enfermero/a en la prevención de VPH mediante la importancia del uso de vacunas.Métodos: investigación de tipo cualitativa, descriptiva, mediante una revisión bibliográfica en bases de datos de alto prestigio académico como: Pubmed, Redalyc, Elsevier, Scopus, Latindex, Enfermería Investiga, mediante la estructura del método PRISMA. Resultados: La revisión sistemática mostro que el año 2018 es en que más publicaciones sobre el VPH siendo como motivo principal el desconocimiento sobre la aplicación del HPV siendo un factor importante el personal de salud llegando a los puntos clave como es la población escolar concentrándose netamente en el manejo y prevención de la misma Conclusión: La desinformación sobre el VPH llego a tener altos índices de contagios en diversas partes de la población, pero el pronto accionar tanto de los servicios de salud como del personal de enfermería ayudo a disminuir significativamente el número de personas contagiadas con el VPH.

    Introduction: The human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common infections of the reproductive tract, responsible for a variety of cancers and other conditions in both men and women, it is considered a sexually transmitted disease. Thus, becoming a public health problem, as an alternative, governments have implemented the HPV vaccine to the national scheme. Objective: To know the role of the nurse in the prevention of HPV through the importance of the use of vaccines Methodos: qualitative, descriptive research, through a bibliographic review in databases of high academic prestige such as: Pubmed, Redalyc, Elsevier, Scopus, Latindex, Investigative Nursing, through the structure of the PRISMA method. Results: The systematic review showed that the year 2018 is in which more publications on HPV, the main reason being ignorance about the application of HPV, health personnel being an important factor, reaching key points such as the school population, concentrating clearly on the management and prevention of the same Conclusion: The misinformation about HPV came to have high rates of infection in various parts of the population, but the prompt action of both health services and nursing staff helped to significantly reduce the number of people infected with HPV.
