Se comentan críticamente algunos aspectos relacionados con la evolución, en los últimos tiempos, de la producción académica sobre historia de la esclavitud, especialmente en España y en diversas épocas. El autor llama la atención sobre la necesidad de recuperar la historiografía clásica del siglo XX, el rigor en el tratamiento de las fuentes y el arrumbamiento de determinadas concepciones idealizadas de la realidad histórica

Some aspects related to the evolution, in recent times, of the academic production on the history of slavery, especially in Spain and at various times, are commented critically. The author draws attention to the need to recover the classic historiography of the 20th century, the rigor in the treatment of sources and the abandonment of certain idealized conceptions of historical reality
