Resumen de Género y espacialidad: aproximaciones conceptuales, temáticas y desafíos para las ciencias sociales

El presente texto busca perfilar las trayectorias conceptuales y de investigación que han marcado la exploración de lo que hoy podemos llamar la imbricación “espacialidad y género”. Esto con el fin de comprender cómo se desarrollaron en paralelo y se entretejie-ron las discusiones académicas en torno al espacio como producción social, así como la configuración del campo de los estudios de las mujeres y de género. El texto pone especial atención en la inter y multidisciplina de estas vetas de estudio, subrayando la relevancia cobrada en los últimos años por la historia como parte de este diálogo disciplinar, en es-pecial en Latinoamérica y en concreto en México. De esta suerte, el texto concluye que el análisis de la imbricación espacialidad y género visibiliza y cuestiona la normalización de la aparente oposición público-privado, así como el ejercicio de ciertas violencias en el espa-cio público, y de la reproducción en este de prácticas heteronormadas. También subraya la manera como en los últimos años, las investigaciones muestran la agencia de las mujeres para ocupar y transitar el espacio urbano.

This text seeks to outline the conceptual and research trajectories that have marked the exploration of what we can now call the imbrication of "spatiality and gender". This in order to understand how academic discussions about space as a social production were developed in parallel and intertwined, as well as the configuration of the field of women's and gender studies. The text pays special attention to the inter and multidisciplinary nature of these veins of study, underlining the relevance that history has gained in recent years as part of this disciplinary dialogue, especially in Latin America and specifically in Mexico. In this way, the text concludes that the analysis of the imbrication of spatiality and gender makes visible and questions the normalization of the apparent public-private opposition, as well as the exercise of certain violence in the public space, and the reproduction of heteronormative practices in it. It also underscores the way in which in recent years research has shown the agency of women to occupy and transit the urban space.
