El futuro de subjuntivo en los manuales del español jurídico como lengua extranjera

    Los libros de texto son una clara referencia y guía en la instrucción formal de una lengua extranjera y suponen una de las principales fuentes de input de dicha lengua para el alumnado. Así ocurre también en el aprendizaje-enseñanza del español lengua extranjera del ámbito jurídico, aunque con ciertas particularidades de esta lengua de especialidad, como es la vitalidad del futuro de subjuntivo. La enseñanza de la gramática en los manuales ha sufrido cambios importantes en las últimas décadas, cuando se ha asentado la necesidad de realizar una instrucción explícita de la gramática en la medida en que se ha demostrado que la reflexión metalingüística es un factor importante en el aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera en adultos. En el presente trabajo se presenta, por un lado, una revisión bibliográfica sobre el empleo del futuro de subjuntivo imperfecto y perfecto en el español jurídico y, por otro lado, se analiza la presencia y el tipo de instrucción de dichos tiempos verbales del subjuntivo en un corpus de manuales del español jurídico para extranjeros. Por consiguiente, el objetivo de la investigación es dilucidar qué relación se establece entre la teoría y la investigación lingüística, en nuestro caso, particularmente, sobre la lengua de especialidad jurídico-administrativa y la enseñanza de nuestro objeto de estudio: el futuro de subjuntivo. Se constata que existe un diálogo disfuncional entre ambos con consecuencias importantes en la presencia y el tratamiento que recibe este tiempo verbal en los manuales de EFE de ámbito jurídico, dado que en muchas ocasiones no se incluye entre los contenidos gramaticales o, cuando sí forma parte de la programación, no hay una instrucción explícita de los usos y valores de dicho tiempo verbal, así como no se recoge una cantidad y variedad suficiente de input para proporcionar un aprendizaje significativo del futuro de subjuntivo. Este tiempo verbal sufre una suerte de invisibilización y vaciamiento de valores y de usos, a pesar de la constatada vitalidad que actualmente mantiene en el lenguaje jurídico.

    Textbooks are a clear reference and guide in the formal instruction of a foreign language and are one of the main sources of input of said language for students. This also occurs in the learning-teaching of Spanish as a foreign language in the legal field, although with certain particularities of this specialized language, such as the future subjunctive. The teaching of grammar in textbooks has undergone important changes in recent decades, when the need for explicit grammar instruction has been established. Moreover, metalinguistic reflection is an important factor in learning a foreign language in adults. Thus, in the present work, on the one hand, a bibliographic review on the use of the future of imperfect and perfect subjunctive in legal Spanish is presented and, on the other hand, the presence and type of instruction of said tenses of the subjunctive in a corpus of legal Spanish manuals for foreigners is analyzed. The aim of this research is to elucidate what relationship is established between theory and linguistic research, in our case, particularly, on the legal-administrative specialty language and the teaching of our object of study: the future subjunctive. We verified that there is a dysfunctional dialogue between the two with important consequences in the presence and treatment that this tense receives in the SFS manuals of the legal field, given that on many occasions it is not included among the grammatical contents or, when it is, it is part of the didactic units. There is no explicit instruction on the uses and values of said tense, nor is there a sufficient amount of input to provide meaningful learning of the future subjunctive. This tense suffers a kind of invisibility and emptying of values and uses, despite the proven vitality that it currently maintains in legal language.
