El escrito aborda de manera introductoria, para estudiantes iniciales de las carreras de Música y Sonido de la Facultad de Artes (FDA) de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), características generales respecto al sistema tonal y su evolución durante el período comprendido entre los siglos xvii y xix y la relación de estos postulados generales con las propuestas de ruptura de las primeras vanguardias del siglo xx.

This paper introduces the general characteristics of the tonal system and its evolution during the period between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries and the relationship of these general postulates with the proposals of rupture of the first avant-garde movements of the twentieth century for initial música and sound students at the Arts Faculty (FDA) of the National University of La Plata (UNLP).
