  • Resumen
    • Emma Crichton of Engineers Without Borders UK introduces readers to the idea of co-creating with communities, explaining why this shift is an essential component of regenerative design and how it will affect the role of structural engineers.

Regenerative design introduces a compelling idea: a better way to design that enables our communities and natural systems to thrive together. This notion is gaining significance as communities worldwide experience the impacts of a changing climate, biodiversity loss, and social inequality.

This article will start by exploring three communities*, before explaining why co- creating with communities is essential within regenerative design and how the role of engineers needs to shift to enable this.
