Rumbo a una metafísica homérica: algunas aproximaciones filosóficas a la lectura de la Ilíada

    En este artículo se exploran algunas nociones generales de lo que podría denominarse una “metafísica homérica”, tal como subyace en los poemas, planteando y suscitando algunos problemas filosóficos. En primer lugar, se analiza la arché homérica como el principio explicativo de los dioses y la totalidad del cosmos por medio de las alusiones teogónicas y cosmogónicas en la Ilíada. Luego, se presentan los principios estructurales del orden divino y su proyección en el cosmos humano y natural, estrechamente vinculados a los límites del poder de Zeus como regente del universo, junto con sus implicancias directas en el plano político. En tercer y último lugar, se analiza brevemente la noción de tiempo en los poemas, como concepto metafísico que opera en la realidad humana y sobre el que se proyecta una dimensión ético-existencial del héroe, como se ve será en el caso de Aquiles.

    This article explores some general notions of what could be called a “Homeric metaphysics”, as it underlies the poems, setting some philosophical problems. In the first place, the Homeric arché is analyzed as the explanatory principle of the gods and the totality of the cosmos through theogonic and cosmogonic allusions in the Iliad. Then, the structural principles of the divine order and its projection in the human and natural cosmos are presented, closely linked to the limits of Zeus’s power as ruler of the universe, along with its direct implications on the political level. Thirdly and lastly, the notion of time in the poems is briefly analyzed, as a metaphysical concept that operates in human reality and on which an ethical-existential dimension of the hero is projected, as will be seen in the case of Achilles.
