Resumen de Formación en valores en el ámbito escolar: perspectiva del profesional de lo social en Portoviejo-Ecuador

  Actualmente, la educación en valores manifiesta problemas en la práctica, especialmente en los adolescentes, comprendiendo que es parte de la tarea de los docentes y otros profesionales como es el trabajador social en el ámbito educativo, quien se desenvuelve como gestor para socializar, identificar y promover valores, construyendo patrones culturales y éticos en los sujetos. Por ello, se plantea como objetivo indagar la intervención del Trabajador Social en la formación en valores en los estudiantes de Educación Básica Superior de las Unidades Educativas de Portoviejo-Ecuador. El estudio tuvo enfoque positivista, mediante investigación cuantitativa, utilizando el método descriptivo, analítico y estadístico. La técnica fue la encuesta con dos cuestionarios, uno dirigido a 8 profesionales en Trabajo Social, quienes laboran en 8 instituciones; y el segundo para los estudiantes, manejando la muestra de 20 participantes por institución, siendo en total 160. Con los resultados se identificó que la labor que desempeña el profesional de lo social para la formación en valores es fundamental para el fortalecimiento de relaciones interpersonales y construcción de una convivencia social estable y armónica, interviniendo desde el Departamento de Consejería Estudiantil; concluyendo, que el proceso se inicia en la familia y continua en la institución educativa y sociedad.

  Currently, education in values manifests problems in practice, especially in adolescents, understanding that it is part of the task of teachers and other professionals such as the social worker in the educational field, who works as a manager to socialize, identify and promote values, building cultural and ethical patterns in the subjects. For this reason, the objective is to investigate the intervention of the Social Worker in the formation of values in the students of Higher Basic Education of the Educational Units of Portoviejo-Ecuador. The study had a positivist approach, through quantitative research, using the descriptive, analytical and statistical method. The technique was the survey with two questionnaires, one addressed to 8 Social Work professionals, who work in 8 institutions; and the second for the students, handling the sample of 20 participants per institution, with a total of 160. With the results, it was identified that the work carried out by the social professional for the formation in values is essential for the strengthening of interpersonal relationships and construction of a stable and harmonious social coexistence, intervening from the Student Counseling Department; concluding, that the process begins in the family and continues in the educational institution and society
