Resumen de Formación bajo el enfoque por competencias a nivel universitario

  PROBLEMA: el enfoque por competencias ha sido incorporado por las universidades en el modelo educativo sin realizar un seguimiento para verificar la efectividad que este tiene.OBJETIVO: sistematizar la forma en que el enfoque por competencias ha sido considerado en el modelo educativo de una institución de educación superior de El Salvador. MÉTODO:se hizo un estudio con enfoque cualitativo, con alcance descriptivo, se tomó una muestra de cinco personas de nivel directivo de esa casa de estudios a quienes se les aplicó una entrevista estructurada, se realizó una revisión documental de tres modelos educativos. RESULTADOS: los resultados reflejaron que el enfoque por competencias ha sido incorporado de una manera progresiva en las diferentes actualizaciones del modelo educativo y que la institución ha continuado con los esfuerzos por seguir avanzando en su implementación. CONCLUSIÓN: es necesario estudiar las dificultades que se han presentado durante el tiempo que se lleva en la aplicación por los diferentes actores del proceso educativo.

  PROBLEM: the competency-based approach has been incorporated by universities into the educational model without carrying out a follow-up to verify its effectiveness. OBJECTIVE: to systematize the way in which the competency-based approach has been considered in the educational model of a higher education institution in El Salvador. METHOD: a study was carried out with a qualitative approach, with a descriptive scope, a sample of five people at the managerial level of that university was taken, to whom a structured interview was applied. A documentary review of three educational models was carried out. RESULTS: The results showed that the competency-based approach has been incorporated progressively in the different updates of the educational model and that the institution has continued with its efforts to continue advancing in its implementation. CONCLUSION: it is necessary to study the difficulties that have arisen during the time that the application has been carried out by the different actors in the educational process.
