El apoyo emocional de la familia por parte de la Enfermera es esencial en Atención Primaria para permitir que las personas sean capaces de afrontar de manera resiliente la situación adversa ocasionada por la enfermedad terminal de un ser querido, y ofrezca una atención paliativa adaptada a las necesidades del paciente.
La enfermera adquiere el rol de intermediadora dentro del Equipo multidisciplinar y el paciente y la familia, mediante la creación de un clima terapéutico adecuado gracias a la habilidad de la asertividad, la educación sanitaria y la comunicación.
Se aplicará el Plan de Atención de Enfermería con la participación activa de la familia en el cuidado del paciente con la enfermedad avanzada, permitiendo las variaciones oportunas para ofrecer la continuidad de los cuidados.
Con ello, se logrará reducir el riesgo de depresión, ansiedad, estrés y aislamiento social de la familia al sentirse satisfecha y útil por la atención proporcionada a su ser querido, permitiendo así lograr el propósito de la humanización de la práctica asistencial en el ámbito comunitario.

The emotional support of the family by the Nurse is essential in Primary Care to allow people to be able to resiliently face the adverse situation caused by the terminal illness of a loved one, and offer palliative care adapted to the needs of the patient.
The nurse acquires the role of intermediary within the multidisciplinary team and the patient and family, by creating an adequate therapeutic climate thanks to the ability of assertiveness, health education and communication.
The Nursing Care Plan will be applied with the active participation of the family in the care of the patient with advanced disease, allowing timely variations to offer continuity of care.
With this, it will be possible to reduce the risk of depression, anxiety, stress and social isolation of the family by feeling satisfied and useful for the care provided to their loved one, thus allowing the goal of humanizing care practice in the community to be achieved.
