  O artigo aborda as representações de mulheres na faixa de fronteira entre Brasil e Paraguai, especificamente na fronteira entre as cidades de Foz do Iguaçu e Ciudad Del Este. A pesquisa parte da análise de quatro perfis profissionais, sendo elas: a “laranja”, a empresária, a vendedora e a empregada doméstica. O objetivo do trabalho foi entender as histórias de vida dessas mulheres, assim como a dinâmica de trabalhar e viver na fronteira, levando em consideração as características individuais, aspectos sociais, econômicos e culturais inerentes a vida de cada mulher. A metodologia utilizada foi a história oral, por meio de entrevistas gravadas e em seguida transcritas, onde foram selecionadas algumas questões pontuais, envolvendo a origem dessas mulheres, grau de escolaridade, aspectos familiares, os deslocamentos e as peculiaridades que envolvem o trabalho feminino na região de fronteira. Como suporte de conteúdo foram utilizadas algumas referências bibliográficas que trazem elementos históricos e acontecimentos que buscam entender os movimentos feministas e o dia-a-dia de mulheres em que dialogam e fazem uma reflexão sobre o trabalho transfronteiriço. Como método de análise o estudo teve como preocupação tentar perceber a mulher na sua individualidade, sem generalizações.

  The article discusses the representations of women in the border area between Brazil and Paraguay, mainly on the border between the cities of Foz do Iguaçu and Ciudad Del Este. The research is based on the analysis of four professional profiles, being: the orange, the businesswoman, the saleswoman and the domestic maid. The objective of the study was to understand the life histories of these women, thus the dynamics of working and living at the border, taking into account the individual characteristics, social, economic and cultural aspects within each woman’s life. The methodology used was the oral history, through the recorded interviews that were later transcribed, where some specific questions were selected, involving the origin of these women, educational level, familiar aspects, displacements and the peculiarities that involve the work in the region of border. As a content support, the study used some bibliographical references bringing historic elements and episodes that aim to understand feminist movements and the daily life of women, and providing a reflection on the reality of working on a border region. As an analysis method, the present study concerns understanding the woman in her own individuality, without generalizations.
