    El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el papel jugado por el informe Guatemala, memoria del silencio como instrumento y mecanismo de resistencia y lucha contra el olvido y la impunidad. El artículo inicia con un recorrido por la historia reciente guatemalteca con el fin de establecer un contexto de los hechos recogidos y analizados en el informe para luego entrar a explicarlo en sí mismo como a su construcción. Se plantea que la participación de expertos en la selección, análisis y redacción del informe parte de una posición oficial que legitima el discurso que se construye.

    This abstract aims to analyze the role played by the report Guatemala, Memory of Silence as an instrument and mechanism of resistance and fight against oblivion and impunity. The abstract begins with a journey through recent Guatemalan history in order to establish a context of the facts collected and analyzed in the report then go to analyze it and how it is constructed. It is proposed that the participation of experts in the selection, analysis and writing of the report starts from an official position that legitimizes the discourse that is constructed.
