¡Récord deportivo en tiempos de COVID! Una medida emergente convertida en creatividad

    Este artículo tiene como objetivo dar a conocer el evento realizado por el ultramaratonista Carlos Humberto Argueta López de 76 años; el 14 de septiembre de 2021. El mismo se realizó en espacio de confinamiento; en homenaje a las víctimas de la pandemia Covid-19; al personal en primera línea de los hospitales y centros de salud; y a personas que atienden familiares enfermos en el propio hogar. La carrera se llevó a cabo en una pista instalada en su propia casa, con medidas de tres metros con veinte centímetros de largo y un metro con veinte centímetros de ancho, que se convirtió en la pista más pequeña del mundo y en la que corrió cincuenta kilómetros en un tiempo de ocho horas con cincuenta minutos; según registros de los jueces. La revisión bibliográfica demostró teóricamente y con elementos deportivos que el acontecimiento, no solo posee un alto valor histórico para el deporte guatemalteco; también representa una nueva marca para los registros internacionales. Una entrevista con el atleta, dio a conocer la forma en que se planificó el ciclo de entrenamiento y los principales momentos de realización de la actividad. La alta necesidad de reconocimiento del evento para los anales de la ciencia deportiva agrega significado a la investigación y conlleva a la conclusión de que no se debe subestimar cualquier actividad deportiva que se realice (sin importar edad, condiciones, recursos y lugar), pues pudiera llegar a constituirse como significativa e incluso, imponer récord; ya que el suceso está en trámite de ser incluido en los Récords Alternativos de Alemania.

    This article aims to publicize the event held by the 76 -year- old ultramarathon runner Carlos Humberto Argueta López, which he held in a reduced space and confinement on September 14, 2021, as a tribute to the victims of the Covid pandemic-19 and the staff on the front lines in hospitals, health center and people who care for sick family members at home. The activity took place on a track installed in his own home, measuring three meters and twenty centimeters long and one meter and twenty centimeters wide, which became the smallest track in the world and on which, 50 kilometers in a time of eight hour and fifty minutes, according to the records of the judges. The work presents the way in which he planned the training, the development of the activity the search for recognition to be recognized by the Guinness Book of Records. To carry out the work, an interview was conducted with the athlete, the way in which the training cycle was planned and the main moments of carrying out the activity are presented. As the main conclusion of the work, it can be established that any activity that is thought, planned, organized and executed in any sports activity, regardless of age, conditions, resources and the place where it is carried out, since the event is in process of being included in the Alternative Records of Germany.
