Percepción de Internos de Medicina de la Universidad de Antofagasta respecto a la formación académica recibida para enfrentar el ciclo profesional

    El objetivo general de la investigación fue analizar la percepción de los internos que cursan el séptimo año de la Carrera de Medicina de la Universidad de Antofagasta respecto a la formación académica recibida para enfrentar el ciclo profesional de su Carrera. En cuanto a la metodología, se desarrolló un estudio cuantitativo transversal exploratorio – descriptivo. El diseño de investigación corresponde a un estudio no experimental. Participaron 33 estudiantes de un total de 59, que al momento de realizar el estudio, cursaban el Internado de Séptimo Año de la Carrera de Medicina de la Universidad de Antofagasta. El estudio fue aprobado por el Comité de Ética e Investigación Científica de la Universidad de Antofagasta.  En cuanto a los resultados, en las dimensiones estudiadas prevalecen los grados de acuerdo (sobre el 45%). Se apreció una alta indecisión de los encuestados al momento de responder (que se reflejó en los porcentajes obtenidos por la categoría de respuesta “Ni de acuerdo ni en desacuerdo”). El mayor grado de desacuerdo (27,3%) fue en la pregunta que consultó sobre la aproximación al contexto laboral en las asignaturas del ciclo básico de la Carrera. Como conclusión, prevalece un aprendizaje centrado en el estudiante y surge la necesidad de integración entre el ciclo básico y profesional de la Carrera, y la evaluación de pertinencia de los contenidos abordados en el primero.

    The general objective of the research was to analyze the perception of the interns who are in the seventh year of the Medicine Career at the University of Antofagasta regarding the academic training received to face the professional cycle of their Career. Regarding the methodology, an exploratory-descriptive cross-sectional quantitative study was developed. The research design corresponds to a non-experimental study. Participants were 33 students out of a total of 59, who at the time of the study were in the Seventh Year Internship of the Medicine Career at the University of Antofagasta. The study was approved by the Ethics and Scientific Research Committee of the University of Antofagasta. Regarding the results, the degrees of agreement prevail in the studied dimensions (over 45%). A high degree of indecision was observed in the respondents when responding (which was reflected in the percentages obtained by the response category "Neither agree nor disagree"). The highest degree of disagreement (27.3%) was in the question that asked about the approach to the work context in the subjects of the basic cycle of the Career. In conclusion, student-centered learning prevails and the need arises for integration between the basic and professional cycle of the Career, and the evaluation of the relevance of the contents addressed in the first.
