    La idea de la que parte el libro es el interés general que la arqueología genera en las personas, un tanto por el tipo de contextos, por los materiales, por las historias o la idea de aventuras que gracias al cine o la literatura se han arraigado en el imaginario de la gente.

    Lo irónico del trabajo de los arqueólogos es que estudiando registros muchas veces las investigaciones no están dirigidas a promover o divulgar entre la gente sus hallazgos o resultados, siendo su aportación casi imperceptible. Es tiempo que, el arqueólogo asuma su papel en la historia de la humanidad, poniendo interés y compromiso en el análisis de las distintas expresiones del hombre, aquellas que dejan huella y transforman a la sociedad.

    Por otro lado, destaca que el arqueólogo tiene posibilidades de estudio ilimitadas pues existen grandes cantidades de vestigios que pueden reconocerse en espacio y tiempo pero sobre todo en lo particular de las expresiones materiales que se relacionan con estrategias adaptativas, avances tecnológicos, aspectos ideológicos, por mencionar sólo algunos aspectos.

                Este libro aporta a la comunidad académica una gran variedad de experiencias metodológicas que han permitido a diferentes investigadores acercarse a su objeto de estudio y a las comunidades en torno a éstos, generalmente sociedades dinámicas y en constante transformación, las cuales necesitan arraigarse a su historia para fortalecer sus vínculos sociales.

    The idea from which the book starts is the general interest that archeology generates in people, somewhat due to the type of contexts, the materials, the stories or the idea of ​​adventures that, thanks to cinema or literature, have taken root in the imaginary of the people.

                   The irony of the work of archaeologists is that studying records many times the investigations are not aimed at promoting or disseminating their findings or results among the people, their contribution being almost imperceptible. It is time for the archaeologist to assume his role in the history of humanity, putting interest and commitment in the analysis of the different expressions of man, those that leave their mark and transform society.               On the other hand, it highlights that the archaeologist has unlimited study possibilities since there are large amounts of vestiges that can be recognized in space and time but especially in the particular of material expressions that are related to adaptive strategies, technological advances, ideological aspects, for mention only a few aspects.               This book contributes to the academic community a great variety of methodological experiences that have allowed different researchers to approach their object of study and the communities around them, generally dynamic and constantly transforming societies, which need to be rooted in their history to strengthen their social ties.
