    Durante los meses de pandemia, cientos de enfermeras/os pusieron en riesgo su vida y la de su familia; repercutiendo en las relaciones familiares y convivencia con los miembros de su hogar. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar las experiencias vividas de los familiares del personal de enfermería asignados al área COVID. Participaron 8 familiares con muestreo por bola de nieve. Para obtener los datos se utilizo una entrevista semi-estructurada, en hogares de los participantes. Las entrevistas fueron analizadas según el referencial de analisis de contenido. A partir del analisis se origino una categoría: experiencias vividas, y dos subcategorías: 1)experiencias vividas positivas y 2) experiencias vividas negativas. En terminos generales en fases iniciales de la pandemia se observó un impacto en la vida de los familiares de los profesionales de enfermería en área COVID, se destacan el miedo y la incertidumbre sin embargo en fases posteriores a la vacunación surge el sentimiento de tranquilidad y protección, donde emergió un sentido de responsabilidad y cuidado junto con aprendizaje, fortaleciendo acciones ante futuras adversidades que pudieran poner en riesgo su salud. Finalmente podemos deducir que las experiencias fueron en su mayoría positivas ante la pandemia, puesto que los participantes refieren beneficios, unión familiar, aprendizaje, conocimiento, para sus familias y ellos.

    Summary During the months of the pandemic, hundreds of nurses put their life and their family’s lives at risk. Impacting in family relationship at home. This study aimed to analyze the experiences lived by the nurses family assigned in the Covid area.  Eight family members participated with “Snowball” sampling. To get the information they made a semi-structured interview in the house of the ones who participated in it. The interviews were analyzed according to the content analysis. From the analysis a category was originated, lived experiences and 2 subcategories:1) Positive lived experiences, 2) Negative lived experiences. In general terms in the initial phases of the pandemic it was observed an impact in the nurses family that worked in the Covid area. Fear and uncertainty stand out, however in the phases after vaccination the feeling of tranquility and protection arises, where a sense of responsibility and care emerged together with learning.  Strengthening actions in the face of future adversities that could put your health at risk. Finally we can deduce that the experiences were mostly positive in the face of the pandemic. Since the participants refer benefits, family union and Knowledge for their families and themselves.
