Evidencias Psicométricas de una Escala de Relación Coparental Adaptada al Contexto Chileno

    La coparentalidad se sitúa como constructo central en la evaluación de las competencias parentales, sin embargo, son escasas las evidencias sobre instrumentos estandarizados para su medición. Este estudio buscó evaluar las propiedades psicométricas de la versión adaptada de la Escala de Relación Coparental (CRS) de Feinberg, Brown y Kan (2012) para el contexto chileno. Participaron 940 padres y madres, entre 17 y 68 años, pertenecientes a tres macrozonas de Chile, y en su mayoría chilenos. Los resultados referidos a la estructura evaluada mediante análisis factorial exploratorio (AFE) y confirmatorio (AFC), sugieren una estructura tridimensional, a diferencia del modelo original de cuatro factores. A nivel de fiabilidad, se presentaron valores óptimos que oscilaron entre .86 y .96 para las distintas dimensiones. Al evaluar las relaciones con estrés parental se observan valores moderados, significativos y teóricamente esperados entre las dimensiones. Se discuten las implicancias asociadas al uso del instrumento en contexto chileno.

    Co-parenting is situated as a central construct in the evaluation of parental competencies, however, there is little evidence on standardized instruments for its measurement. This study sought to evaluate the psychometric properties of the adapted version of the Coparental Relationship Scale (CRS) by Feinberg, Brown and Kan (2012) for the Chilean context. A total of 940 fathers and mothers, between 17 and 68 years old, belonging to three macro-zones of Chile, and mostly Chilean, participated. The results referring to the structure evaluated by exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA),suggest a three-dimensional structure, contrary to the original four-factor model. At the reliability level, optimal values ranging from .86 to .96 were found for the different dimensions. Moderate, significant, and theoretically expected values were observed among the dimensions when evaluating the relationships with parental stress. The implications associated with the use of the instrument in the Chilean context are discussed
