    En una noticia reciente, los periódicos informaban que Corea del Norte, en un desfile militar, mostró al mundo unos misiles trasatlánticos capaces de ser dirigidos a cualquier parte de América. Los periodistas piensan que fue una especie de amenaza a Corea del Sur y a los Estados Unidos. Mientras leía la noticia, me volví a asombrar contemplando la capacidad técnica que el humano posee, y los avances que a lo largo de la historia han logrado los hombres. Pensé en la diferencia de armamento que se utilizó en la Primera y en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, y me invadió cierto temor al considerar qué elección iban a tomar los coreanos acerca del uso de esos instrumentos. Al día siguiente, en otra noticia, el presidente de Estados Unidos lanza una bomba a Afganistán, que los americanos le llamaron “la madre de todas las bombas”.

    In a recent news story, newspapers reported that North Korea, in a military parade, showed the world transatlantic missiles capable of targeting any part of America. Journalists think he was some kind of threat to South Korea and the United States. While reading the news, I was amazed again contemplating the technical capacity that the human possesses, and the advances that men have achieved throughout history. I thought about the difference in weaponry that was used in World War I and World War II, and a certain dread came over me as I considered what choice the Koreans were going to make about the use of those instruments. The next day, in other news, the president of the United States drops a bomb on Afghanistan, which the Americans called "the mother of all bombs."
