    Esta investigación tiene como objetivo general analizar el interés de los estudiantes de la carrera de Contaduría Pública de la FCE UNA Filial Coronel Oviedo año 2021 en ejercer la profesión. Este trabajo pretende mostrar cómo se desarrolla actualmente dicha carrera, los factores que inciden en la toma de decisiones para dedicarse a la contabilidad, como ser la rentabilidad, la experiencia, el conocimiento, la tradición y la oportunidad laboral, o realizar otro tipo de trabajo al egresar, como así también la expectativa de los estudiantes acerca del ejercicio de la profesión, entre los motivos comunes que han impulsado a los estudiantes a elegir la carrera se pueden mencionar; por gusto propio, por expectativas profesionales, porque tiene salida laboral, entre otros; el interés en trabajar en la profesión una vez que egresen y por último las medidas que son necesarias aplicar en la institución, para que los estudiantes se vinculen con su profesión desde el inicio, el estudio de estos factores son fundamentales para alcanzar el objetivo general. El problema real es que existen demasiados contadores egresados de la FCE UNA Filial Coronel Oviedo, sin un empleo seguro que les permita contar con un sueldo digno. La metodología utilizada es descriptiva, según su enfoque, corresponde al cuantitativo y según periodo de estudio, al transversal. Entre los principales hallazgos se destacan, que los estudiantes, tienen mucha expectativa acerca de la carrera; sin embargo, desde la realidad de los egresados, la mayoría no está ejerciendo la profesión, y se desempeña en empresas privadas, en la parte administrativa. Como resultante del presente estudio se propone más trabajo de campo para los estudiantes y crear Bolsa de empleos desde la Universidad.

    This research has as a general objective to analyze the interest of the students of the Public Accounting career of the FCE UNA Subsidiary Coronel Oviedo year 2021 in practicing the profession. This work aims to show how this career is currently developed, the factors that affect decision-making to dedicate themselves to accounting, such as profitability, experience, knowledge, tradition and job opportunity, or doing another type of work upon graduation, as well as the expectations of students about the exercise of the profession, among the common reasons that have prompted students to choose the career can be mentioned; for their own pleasure, for professional expectations, because they have a job opportunity, among others; the interest in working in the profession once they graduate andfinally the measures that are necessary to apply in the institution, so that students are linked to their profession from the beginning, the study of these factors are essential to achieve the general objective. The real problem is that there are too manyaccountants graduated from the FCE UNA Subsidiary Coronel Oviedo, without a secure job that allows them to have a decent salary. The methodology used is descriptive, according to its approach, it corresponds to the quantitative one and according to the study period, to the cross-sectional one. Among the main findings are that students have high expectations about the career; however, from the reality of the graduates, the majority is not practicing the profession, and works in private companies, in the administrative part. As a result of this study, more field work for students is proposed and the creation of a job market from the University
