El propósito de este artículo es exponer el contexto mundial y nacional dentro de los cuales los grupos minoritarios, o aquellos cuyos intereses no son representados por el Estado mexicano, han decidido crear y adoptar medios de comunicación alternativos a los ya establecidos por el sistema dominante, como herramientas o instrumentos para hacerse escuchar u organizarse, buscando así empoderarse frente a un sistema económico, cultural y político que violenta sus derechos humanos. Además, se expondrá el caso de éxito del movimiento Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional como productor y promotor de la comunicación alternativa para expandir y dar a conocer su lucha y reivindicaciones.
The purpose of this article is to present the context, global and national, in which minorities or those whose interests are not represented by the Mexican government decided to create and adopt alternative means of communication, already established by the dominant system, as tools or instruments to be heard or organize and empower looking face economic, cultural, and political system that violates their human rights. In addition, the success story of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation movement (EZNL), as a producer and promoter of alternative communication, to expand and publicize their fight and claims will be discussed.
