    El minimalismo de la cuentística estadounidense de los 80 es la cara académica del realismo sucio anunciado por la revista Granta en 1983. El término realismo Kmart es el nombre final del fenómeno de masificación del realismo sucio en el mercado estadounidense. Confrontados con las obras de Raymond Carver, Richard Ford y Lucia Berlin, los tres cintillos se antojan imprecisos. En la siguiente notas se comentan los principales aportes de estos tres narradores norteamericanos.

    The minimalism of the American short story of the 80s is the academic face of dirty realism announced by Granta magazine in 1983. The term Kmart realism is the final name for the mass phenomenon of dirty realism in the American market. Confronted with the works of Raymond Carver, Richard Ford and Lucia Berlin, the three headlines seem imprecise. The following notes discuss the main contributions of these three North American narrators.
